In the "Coraline" film, what is that house next to the Pink Palace?
Q. In the movie version of "Coraline," there is a seemingly two-story old wooden house to the right of the Pink Palace Apartments (where Coraline's family lives). It is shown in several shots, and it seems that when Wybie Lovat rides off on his bike when his grandmother calls him, he rides toward that house. However, there is never any mention in the film of why the house is there or who lives in it. Does anyone know if Wybie is supposed to live in this house, or if it is just an old, abandoned building? Thanks!

A. I'm pretty sure that it is Wybie's grandmother's house. His grandmother manages the Pink Palace Apartments so she must live close by.
